 GUITAR AMP - MARSHALL JCM900

The Marshall JCM 900 Dual Reverb was produced by Marshall during the 1990's. Marshall engineers voiced Channel A for sparkling clarity but added enough percussive punch to kick out every note. Channel B provided "potent gain and grinding aggression" for solos. Each channel has its own reverb control.

The Dual Reverb sounds so fine that no less than ZZ Top bluesman extraordinaire Billy Gibbons used a quartet of model 4100 heads during the band's Recyler world tour

Features of the Dual Reverb series

  • Marshall JCM900Separate preamp gain controls: Channel (A) 1-10, Channel (B) 0-20

  • Separate reverb controls for each channel
  • Manual or footswitch operation for channel selection
  • Effects loop with sensitivity control

  • Impedance selection switching
  • Two speaker outputs
  • High/low power switching (pentode to triode)
  • Valve failure LEDs

The Marshall Hi Gain Dual Reverb amplifier was designed to provide two different, foot-switchable tones from a single chassis. Produced in several different configurations, the Dual Reverb was arguably the most popular amplifier in the JCM 900 series.

GUITAR AMP - ROLAND JC 120

For 20 years the Roland JC120 Jazz Chorus has been the amp of choice for jazz axemen and other guitarists who can't get enough of its clean sound and rich, stereo chorus. The JC120 features twin 60W 60W amps, two 12”. speakers, and 2 input channels (each with 3-band EQ).

When you plug your guitar into a JC, all the true tonal character of your instrument comes out. Distortion is extremely low and frequency response is accurate. This means the quality of your effects come through, too. And to make sure of that, there's a stereo effects loop on channel 2 that meets full professional specifications; you can select series/parallel connections and switch between different input and output signal levels.

But let's not forget the effects that come with the JC120! Yeah, there's that famous wide-spatial chorus that you've heard in countless recordings and performances. But there's also vibrato with rate and depth controls mild distortion and clear reverb, all of which can be turned on and off with footswitches. And though the sound of the Jazz Chorus is certainly refined, there's nothing delicate about this amp! It's solidly constructed and known for handling a lot more road abuse than a lot of rocker amps. Whether you play jazz or not, if you want an excellent and dependable stereo amp that sets professional standards, look no further than the JC120.
