 LIGHTING

Lighting EquipmentLighting is the most important accessory to any professional sound system.

Our lighting will transform your event into something spectacular!

M PRODUCTIONS use only professional DMX intelligent- and generic lighting for all our productions including moving head fixtures, scanners, follow spots, LED parcans, DMX floodlights and industrial sized smoke and haze machines

Intelligent (DMX) Lighting

Intelligent lighting refers to stage lighting that has automated or mechanical abilities beyond those of traditional, stationary illumination. Although the most advanced “intelligent” lights can produce extraordinarily complicated effects, most lighting technicians agree that it is closer to “obedient” lighting since the intelligence lies with the programmer of the show rather than the instruments itself

What is DMX 512?

DMX 512 is an EIA-485 based communications protocol that is most commonly used to control stage lighting and effects.

DMX512 was originally intended as a 'lowest common denominator' protocol for use between interfaces supporting proprietary protocols. However, it soon became the primary method for linking not only controllers and dimmers, but also more advanced fixtures and special effects devices such as fog machines and moving lights. DMX512 is unidirectional and does not include automatic error checking and correction, so it is not safe to use for applications involving life safety, such as controlling pyrotechnics or laser lighting display where audience or performer safety is involved.

We use WMDX (Wireless DMX) on most of our shows.  This dramatically saves time and effort during set-ups, as there is no need to run long cables to lighting fixtures

 GOBO LIGHTING

Gobo LightingA Gobo is a template or pattern cut into a circular metal plate or developed on a glass disc, used to create patterns of projected light. The name may be derived from "Go Before Optics" "Go between" refers to its position between the lamp and the lens.

You can have your Company Logo "Scan" around the Venue as your guests enter for that added attention to detail

Metal Gobo's - Metal Gobo's are relatively inexpensive to manufacture, but are limited when it comes to complicated design detail. Metal Gobo's can only be projected in a single colour

Glass Gobo's - Glass Gobo's can handle complicated design detail as well as the capacity to display images in multi colour RGB format.  These gobos are made of high temperature glass and can be quite expensive
